How to Install Lamin-x Protective Films
Careful surface preparation and the correct installation technique help ensure that Lamin-x protective films are applied cleanly and remain securely in place. These installation videos cover headlight protection film, door edge protection film, vehicle-specific protective films and Ricochet Paint Protection Film (PPF).

How to Apply Door Edge Protection Film
This video demonstrates how to apply Lamin-x door edge protection film to a vehicle’s door edges. The transparent protective film helps protect vulnerable painted door edges against scratches, chips and minor damage caused by everyday use.

Before Installation
- Thoroughly clean the surface and allow it to dry completely.
- Remove wax, grease, dirt and any other surface residue.
- Install the film and prepare the surface at a suitable room temperature whenever possible.
- Carefully align the protective film before pressing it firmly into its final position.
After Installation
Press the door edge protection film down evenly and inspect all edges. Immediately after installation, avoid heavy contact, pressure or aggressive cleaning so the protective film has sufficient time to bond securely to the surface.
