Warranty Information

1. Statutory consumer rights

Promofolia GmbH is the seller of products purchased through laminx.eu.

Consumers have statutory rights where goods are defective, do not match their description, are not fit for their normal or agreed purpose, were incorrectly supplied, or otherwise fail to conform to the purchase contract.

These rights generally apply for at least two years after delivery of new goods. Depending on the circumstances, the customer may be entitled to repair, replacement, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract and a refund.

Statutory remedies are provided free of charge and are not limited by the additional manufacturer warranties below.

2. Customer support and claim contact

Customers who purchased through laminx.eu should submit all product, conformity, and warranty claims to Promofolia GmbH.

3. Commercial-warranty guarantor

The additional Lamin-x and Ricochet commercial manufacturer warranties are provided by:

Promofolia GmbH is the primary European contact and handles the claim directly with the customer. Where manufacturer support is required, Promofolia GmbH coordinates with Lamin-x Protective Films LLC. Customers are not normally required to deal directly with the manufacturer in the United States.

4. Five-year Lamin-x commercial warranty

Eligible Lamin-x protective films are covered by a five-year commercial manufacturer warranty beginning on the original purchase date.

Subject to the conditions and exclusions below, the warranty covers cracking, fading, turning yellow, and manufacturing defects in the film under normal intended use.

Proof is required that the product was purchased through laminx.eu or supplied by Promofolia GmbH.

5. Ten-year Ricochet commercial warranty

Eligible Ricochet paint protection films are covered for ten years from the original purchase date against any and all manufacturing defects.

Proof is required that the product was purchased through laminx.eu or supplied by Promofolia GmbH.

6. Original installation and installer-supported claims

The commercial warranty applies to the original installation of the eligible product.

A professional installer may submit a claim on the customer’s behalf. Promofolia GmbH may request information reasonably needed to connect the product to the original purchase and installation.

7. Commercial-warranty remedy

If a claim is approved under a Lamin-x or Ricochet commercial warranty, replacement film or a reasonably equivalent replacement product will be provided.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the additional manufacturer warranty covers replacement material only and does not cover removal, installation or reinstallation labor, vehicle repairs, travel, downtime, loss of use, or other indirect or consequential costs.

These limitations apply only to the voluntary commercial warranty. They do not limit mandatory rights against Promofolia GmbH as the seller.

8. Commercial-warranty exclusions

The commercial warranties do not cover damage or failure caused by:

• Incorrect or unsuitable surface preparation.
• Installation contrary to the supplied instructions.
• Improper tools or installation techniques.
• Accidents, collisions, road debris, impacts, vandalism, or other external forces.
• Misuse, abuse, neglect, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Improper cleaning, maintenance, or chemical exposure.
• Modification, removal and reapplication, or alteration of the film.
• Failure of paint, plastic components, coatings, or another underlying surface.
• Installation over an unsuitable, damaged, repainted, or insufficiently cured surface.
• Continued installation or use after an obvious problem became apparent.
• Use that is unlawful in the location where the product is installed or operated.

9. How to make a claim

Contact Promofolia GmbH at info@laminx.eu or +49 (0)7135 9366702 and provide:

• Proof of purchase and order number, where available.
• A description of the problem.
• Clear photographs of the product and affected area.
• Product name, color, or identifying information where available.
• Installation date and installer information where applicable.
• Any other information reasonably necessary to assess the claim.

10. Retaining the product

Please retain the product, backing liner, labels, and packaging until the claim has been reviewed.

If installation is still in progress, stop installation and place the film back on the supplied backing liner where possible.

Do not return or discard material unless Promofolia GmbH provides instructions. A return authorization may be required before material is physically returned.

11. Professional installation

Where a product was installed by a professional installer, the customer may contact that installer first for assistance and may also contact Promofolia GmbH directly.

Installation workmanship supplied by an independent installer is not covered by the Lamin-x or Ricochet manufacturer warranty unless expressly agreed in writing.

12. Transparent and colored lighting films and road use

Rules concerning the use of film on vehicle lighting differ between countries and local jurisdictions.

Promofolia GmbH expressly advises that the films offered for vehicle lighting, including headlights, fog lights, tail lights, and other lighting equipment, are not approved for use on public roads in Germany under the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung, StVZO). Corresponding or comparable legal restrictions may also apply in other countries.

Use of these products is solely at the buyer’s own responsibility and is intended only for motorsport, racing, show, exhibition, or other purposes outside public-road use, where permitted by applicable law.

Before using the product, the buyer is responsible for checking and complying with the laws that apply in the relevant country and location.

To the extent permitted by law, Promofolia GmbH accepts no liability for damage, fines, loss of vehicle operating approval, or other legal or economic consequences resulting from improper or unlawful use of the products.

Customers and installers are responsible for confirming whether the selected product and installation are permitted for public-road use where the vehicle will be operated.

Products described for off-road, motorsport, competition, exhibition, or show use should not be assumed to be approved for ordinary public-road use.

The Lamin-x and Ricochet commercial warranties provide benefits in addition to statutory rights. Nothing in the commercial warranties excludes, restricts, or replaces mandatory rights against Promofolia GmbH.
